According to my gr-grandfather's biography, his Workman ancestor's left Holland during the Thirty Year's War and settled in England and Ireland where they established themselves as weavers. They later immigrated to America and settled along the Potomac, eventually moving into Pennsylvania. My gr-gr-gr-grandfather Workman was killed during the War of 1812, leaving two young sons, Ebenezer and Samuel (my gr-gr-grandfather), and possibly a daughter. Unfortunately, no first names or dates were given in the biography. Does any of this sound familiar to any fellow Workman researchers?
