My grandfather was Guy Cleveland Workman. He was born August 1, 1899 and died Sept. 24,1962 in Shelby, N. C. He married Elsie leona Jones on Dec. 6, 1918 in the City of Gastonia, N.C. in Gaston County at the home of G.B. Jones. Here is probably why you couldn't find him. When he went to work in the textile mill, the office made him change his last name form workman to wortman. All the rest of his family ancestry is spelled with the "K". His is the only one changed to a "T". They had 5 children. Camilla, Maebelle,Albert Wray, Georgia lee "dot", Betty Sue. If this is the Guy Cleveland Workman you are looking for you can contact me at the above E-Mail address.
